Mass Intentions, Eucharistic Adoration and Funeral Ministry
Mass Intentions
We invite you to honor a loved one who has passed or offer prayers for those who are sick or in need of blessing and healing through a Mass Intention. Requesting a Mass intention means you are asking that the grace of Christ’s sacrifice in His death and resurrection be applied for a particular purpose—whether for the repose of the soul of the deceased or for the healing and well-being of someone in need. The names of Mass intentions are read aloud during Mass. To obtain a date and time, please contact the Parish Office at 816-942-2492
Eucharistic Adoration
Sundays following the 11am Mass until 3PM
Friday from 9AM - 9PM

Funeral Ministry
It is never easy to say goodbye to someone we have loved. As a parish family at St. Thomas More, we experience every part of our spiritual journey as a united community of God—none of us have to walk through grief alone. Together, we gather for the Mass of Christian Burial to pray with you and your family, entrusting your loved one to the mercy of God. We would be deeply honored to walk beside you and support your family during this difficult time.
Planning & Resources
Our parish community and staff are here to support you and your family whether you are planning a service for a recent loss or pre-planning a future celebration of life. We will guide you through every step of the process, help you select readings and sacred music, and be on hand to assist you on the day of the service.
We understand that planning a funeral in a time of grief can feel overwhelming, and making decisions is rarely easy. We are here to listen, to help you understand the beautiful, comforting funeral rituals used by the Catholic Church, and to handle the logistical details so you can focus on prayer and family.
