Sacrament of Confirmation

Confirmation deepens our baptismal call to be witnesses of Jesus Christ in the world. Through this sacrament, we are more perfectly bound to the Church and enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit to build up communities of love, faith, and service.

For Youth (6th, 7th, and 8th Grade)

Our Confirmation preparation process invites young people in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades to deepen their relationship with God by opening their hearts to a greater outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Through this sacrament, they are more closely joined to Christ and the Church, equipped and sent forth to be true witnesses of God’s saving love to the world.

Preparation takes place throughout their middle school years, building a strong foundation of discipleship that culminates in celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation.

How to Prepare (Youth)

  • All Students that are ready to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, should register for Confirmation Preparation using the link below.

For High School Youth & Adults

The sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and the Holy Eucharist are intimately bound together as the Sacraments of Christian Initiation. Full initiation equips us to live out the Gospel message with confidence.

If you are a high school student or an adult (over the age of 18) who was baptized Catholic and received First Holy Communion, but never had the opportunity to complete your initiation through the Sacrament of Confirmation, we warmly invite you to join us.

Older youth and adults at St. Thomas More prepare for their sacraments through the OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults) process. This program is tailored to meet you where you are, answering your questions and walking with you as you prepare to receive the sealing strength of the Holy Spirit.
