Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Welcome to Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) at St. Thomas More! Our mission is simple: to create a space where our parish children can encounter the living Word of God in a way that speaks directly to their hearts.
What is CLOW?
During our 9:00 AM Sunday Mass, children (typically ages 4 through early elementary school) are invited by the priest to gather and follow our CLOW leaders to a dedicated space before the scripture readings begin.
In their session, the kids will:
Hear the Sunday Gospel proclaimed at an age-appropriate level.
Share a brief reflection and discussion on the readings.
Recite a child-friendly Profession of Faith and youth intentions.
The children then return to the main church assembly during the offertory to rejoin their families for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. No pre-registration is required for your child to participate—just listen for the priest's invitation during Mass!
Join the Team: Volunteer with CLOW!
To keep this beautiful ministry thriving, we need joyful adults and teens who are passionate about sharing the faith with the next generation.
The Commitment:
Just once a month during the 9:00 AM Sunday Mass.
All materials, simple lesson plans, and age-appropriate scripts are provided for you in advance.
Note: In compliance with diocesan safe environment policies, all adult volunteers (18+) must be VIRTUS trained and cleared before serving.
