Become a Marriage Prep Mentor Couple

Walk alongside engaged couples as they prepare for a lifelong, grace-filled Catholic marriage.

A Low-Key, High-Impact Way to Serve

Are you and your spouse looking for a meaningful way to serve our parish community? Saint Thomas More is seeking married couples to serve as Marriage Prep Mentors for engaged couples preparing for Holy Matrimony.

You do not need a degree in theology or years of counseling experience. You simply need a willingness to welcome a couple into your home, share the authentic realities of married life, and offer encouragement as they take this sacred step.

What Does a Mentor Couple Do?

  • Host Simple Gatherings: Invite an engaged couple to your home for a meal, coffee, or appetizers six times over the course of their engagement.

  • Share Real Life: Help couples see both the beauty and the real-world effort of Christian marriage by sharing your own personal experiences and insights.

  • Guide Great Discussions: Use straightforward video clips and provided workbook prompts to keep conversations comfortable, low-pressure, and focused.

“Mentoring engaged couples is a low-key, incredibly rewarding experience. It gives you a chance to foster a healthy understanding of marriage—and often leads to lasting friendships with the couples you walk with!"

    Kyle Kuckelman, Director of Mission
