Care Ministry

Care Ministers are lay men and women who are interested in living their faith by ministering to those around them. They are supportive listeners and friends who, through training, learn skills and develop their gifts for bringing Christ’s love to people who are ill, homebound, lonely, grieving, or experiencing other stress in their lives.

Our Care Ministers have gone through the Care Ministry training program and maintain a strict policy of confidentiality. We are willing to visit people who are experiencing difficulties such as:

  • going through a marital separation or divorce
  • coping with a disability
  • being seriously ill, hospitalized or homebound
  • feeling lonely or depressed
  • welcoming a new child through birth or adoption
  • grieving the loss of a spouse, parent, child or other loved one
  • a job loss, career transition or relocation
  • empty nest or retirement
  • providing home care for a loved one
