Nurses Ministry

STM Nurses Ministry is meeting this Thursday, April 28 at 7 pm in the Narthex.  All licensed nurses are welcome to join the meeting to learn more about this ministry.  Questions or concerns, please contact Annie Wallace at acwallace5@gmail.com

Helping Hands Project at Boys Hope

Saturday, May 7 beginning at noon (immediately following Blisters for Sisters), we will be cleaning, painting, and doing some repair work alongside the young men who live there.  All skill levels are welcome for any period of time. To volunteer or for more information, contact Phil Paschang atppaschang1@gmail.com or 816-809-6053. Boys Hope is located in the McGilley parking lot at 12307 State Line Road.

Boys Hope

Boys Hope is looking for help providing an evening meal for twelve people.Currently meals are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday evenings, but they would like to expand that to include Monday, Wednesday and Sunday. You can either sign up to provide a meal on a certain day on a regular basis or you can sign up for individual days. Any help is greatly appreciated. Kathy Knopke is theBoys Hope meal coordinator. SPRED is the Special Religious Education For the Developmentally Delayed.  No special training required.  The program runs from September through April and is held on Mondays from 6:30 to 7:30 (every other week 8:30).  We are asking for volunteers to be 18 and older, but are flexible.  If you have a loving heart and would like to volunteer your time to this wonderful ministry, SPRED would love to have you!  Please contact Becky Turner at bturner727@yahoo.com or 816-941-2193

Funeral Luncheon Coordinator Needed

Do you have a caring heart? We are in need of one or two more people to help with the funeral lunches the fourth week of each month. This is a very important and rewarding ministry here at Saint Thomas More. For more information about the position, click here to contact David Butel. 

Hospitality Greeters

If you'd like to open a car door, hold the door open or welcome fellow parishioners before church, please consider this wonderful ministry.  All that is required is a friendly face and the willingness to be at Mass at least 20-30 minutes early.  I will be booking people (hopefully) once a month at the Mass you prefer.  Let me know what Mass you attend.
