Roses for Life Campaign >>
Sat-Sun Jan 8-9Knights distributed paper roses for parishioners to sign. The roses represent support for pro-life causes and are sent to representatives in Washington, D.C. in time for the March for Life on January 22, the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision.

MR Drive >> Fri-Sun Oct 8-10
The MR Drive, also known as the "Tootsie Roll Drive," is a campaign to support those with intellectual disabilities. In appreciation for donations to this cause, Knights offer contributors a Tootsie Roll. Knights manned a “boot block” at Red Bridge & Holmes from 7:00-8:30 a.m. and 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, and after Masses on Saturday & Sunday. Half the proceeds will be donated to Cardinal Glennon Children’s

For the second annual dinner More Hall was again be transformed into an Italian restaurant, complete with colorful tablecloths of red, white, and green, checkered napkins, great music and Italian waiters. Diners were served a delicious meal of pasta with a choice of sauce, warm garlic toast, crisp cold salad, beverage and dessert. Over $1700 was raised for the council charity fund.

Family Fun Knight >> Fri June 25 - in & around More Hall
Festivities included great food (burgers, dogs, Italian sausage, salads, desserts, and refreshments), games for kids of all ages (with cash prizes), karaoke, and a drawing for a wheelbarrow of cheer, which was won by Gus Broockerd. Donna Finger was the winner of the chipping contest.

Fr Don Knights of Columbus Meet & Greet >> Sun May 2 - More Hall
All men of the parish were invited to attend after the 9:30 Mass. Father Don talked about the Knights and their role in the parish. Several men expressed interest in becoming Knights, with some either completing Form 100s, or taking one home.

STM 7th & 8th Grade Mixer >> Sat May 1 - Flanagan Hall
Open to all STM 7th and 8th graders, the event ran from 7 to 9:30 p.m., with DJ and drinks provided. Admission was $5 and two canned food items. The food was donated to

Columbus Knight Dinner >> Sat Oct 17 -- More Hall
On Saturday, October 17, STM Council held its first annual Columbus Knight Dinner in More Hall. The hall was transformed into an Italian restaurant, complete with colorful tablecloths of red, white, and green, red checkered napkins, a strolling accordion player, and Italian waiters. A hostess was also on hand to direct diners to a table, where they were served a delicious meal of pasta with a choice of three different sauces, in addition to Italian sausage. Warm garlic toast, a crisp cold salad along with a beverage, rounded out the entrée. Beer and wine were available as well as a variety of deserts. Next year's Columbus Knight Dinner will be on Columbus Day, Monday, October 11, 2010.

A celebration of 1959 (the year of Fr. Don's birth). Featuring skits, musical numbers, dancing, heavy hors d'oevres, beer, wine, and soft drinks. Proceeds used towards pew cushions.

Newly elected officers for the 2009-2011 term were installed by District 9 Deputy Tony Berter. Officers and spouses met afterwards at Sand Trap for dinner.
